{hold on, let me get my ruler}

Check out these 2 ideas that incorporate a fun oversized ruler.

I think we will all agree that our kids grow way too fast! This ruler is a definite conversation piece for any home and a true memory maker/keeper. Moving? No problem, take it with you. Ruler mounts to any wall or door, easy to take with you. p.s. Grandparents need this ruler, too.

[happy 30 day]

Josh and Day walked down the aisle 30 days ago! Happy one month anniversary, loved ones!

Here is a sweet photo of the prettiest flower girl ever, Blakely, and the most handsome ring bearer, Micah. Micah actually [very carefully and so seriously] carried the "REAL" wedding rings on his pillow! I loved that!!! Before photo, compliments of ringer bearer's proud mom...

[mr. and mrs.]

Yes, banner love is happening! And it started with this Mr. & Mrs. banner we made for Josh and Day's wedding head table. Then we moved the banner to their headboard!!! Check it out...
We also customized three pillows for their wedding day and placed them around the firepit seating area. It was sooo much fun (photos coming...promise!) As you can see, we also moved the pillows to their bed! Hey, why not?

On a tight but creative budget, Dayana made this slick headboard for only $30 and minimal time.
Here's how:
1. Determine your width and desired height. We used three 10' x 1' pine slabs, cut in half, from Lowes.
2. With a foam brush, stain with desired color (Dayana chose brown).
3. Let dry, then with foam brush apply satin polyurethane for a shiny but not too shiny finish.
4. Dry completely.
5. Starting from the bottom (at about mattress height, not from the floor) screw stained pine directly into wall. Stack and screw planks evenly one on top of other to your desired height.

Their bedding ensemble is complete and full of sweet, special memories. Yep, banner love for sure!

Like what you see? Dayana is making banners and pillows at our Etsy shop and she'd be happy to customize  pillows or a banner for your home or special occassion!

{everything in its place}

I don’t know about you, but my keys have never had a home. That is until last week! Up until then, I’d toss them in my purse, sometimes on the kitchen counter, or maybe my husband’s junk basket. It was anyone’s guess. So during my recent trip to Hobby Lobby, I picked up a few things to create a “home” for our keys, including our address so our keys would never get lost again!

Want to borrow this idea for your home? Asking where can I find?
Empty vintage frame:  It’s the second of the two vintage-looking wooden frames I picked up at a yard sale for $1, originally from Hobby Lobby (sticker price still on it for $24.99).
Iron address numbers, padlock, and key hook: all from Hobby Lobby… on sale of course!

{I'd like to buy another vowel please}

I can't resist! Here are more Scrabble words that I wanted to share with you for your home!

Bring smiles to any room by placing any of these friendly, heartwarming vintage scrabble words to your entry table, shelf, night stand, dresser, counter, sofa table, etc.

Nothing evokes the feeling of home sweet home more than the word FAMILY.

The Spanish word ESPERANZA means HOPE. What a great word!

Encourage your family and friends to kick off their shoes and RELAX because you're glad they are there!

Say TE AMO (I love you) in Spanish or any language. Speak it often and bring sunshine and smiles to loved ones!

Who doesn't want HUGS & KISSES...ALWAYS!?!
Offer xoxo to your spouse or child by placing this sweet reminder in places they will be sure to see!

There's a lot of good pride and meaning in a name and here's a unique way to display it.

Create a CUSTOM word that fits you and/or your family's personality & style.

Like anything you see? Asking where can I find?

{I'd like to buy a vowel}

I have a confession to make. I’m addicted to SCRABBLE tiles!
[and that includes Words with Friends and Hanging with Friends and old school Wheel of Fortune]
I loved playing Scrabble with my daughter when she was little and now she’s 25 and we still get to play!

Bring smiles and happy wishes to any & every room by placing friendly scrabble words on an entry table, shelf, night stand, dresser, counter, or sofa table. Nothing says "I'm glad you're here!" more than WELCOME.

Please step into my family room... I'm glad you stopped by...
